The exhibition aims to highlight the unique maritime and shipbuilding capital of Greece through the presentation of Traditional and Historical Ships of special cultural importance. These vessels, notable achievements in their own right, are the tangible evidence of the technological culture of the Greeks over time, and an integral part of the maritime heritage of our country. Framed by historical documentation, the ships will be presented by using cutting edge technologies such as accurate and detailed 3D models and the development of virtual reality applications.
Along with the exhibition material, a digital repository of ship designs will be developed with open access for the online user.
