NAVS – Digital Repository of Greek Historical / Traditional Ships
The digital repository aims to highlight and maintain the unique maritime and shipbuilding capital of Greece through the presentation of Traditional and Historical Ships of special cultural importance. These vessels, notable achievements in their own right, are the tangible evidence of the technological culture of the Greeks over time, and an integral part of the maritime heritage of our country. Specifically, a digital database of geometric ships models will be developed with open access for the online user. The material will include different media such as 3D Laser Scans, 3D models, drawings / gravures, images, historical documentation etc.
